Home/For Coaches

Never be the coach who does not know.

Whether you raced your whole life or came to this through your kid, get the cause under the fault, a plan that builds on last session, and a drill turned into a game they will chase. All leveled for the group in front of you.

Become a pioneer coach
The problem, in your words

You can see something is wrong. You are just not always sure what.

Maybe you raced your whole life and stepped back in after years away. Maybe you came to this through your own kid and a clipboard nobody explained. Either way, you have stood at the side of a course watching a skier do something that is not right, the next group already loading, and not been certain of the cause, the fix, or how to keep an eight year old warm and interested while you work it out.

Nobody wants to be the coach who does not really know. That is the whole reason Hans exists.

The three answers the pathway never quite hands you

Find the cause, not just the symptom

Tell Hans what you are seeing, the tails washing out, the late edge change, the hands dropping, the sitting back, and get the likely cause underneath it, one cue you can actually say to the athlete, and a drill that targets it. Leveled, so a U8 fix is not a FIS fix.

Build a plan that remembers last session

Most plans start from a blank page every single time. Hans starts from where you left off. Give it the age group, what you want to work on, and the next race on the calendar, and it builds the session, then carries it forward so the next one pushes a little further instead of repeating itself. Progression that actually progresses.

Turn a drill into a game they will chase

This is the one that humbles new coaches and veterans alike the first time they get a group of seven year olds. Hans takes the drill you need them to do and turns it into something they will want to do, warm, moving, and laughing, without losing the point of the drill underneath the fun.

Answers that survive a coach's eye

Hans is not the open internet with a coat of paint. It is built on real race-coaching knowledge and tested so the answers hold up when a coach reads them. It knows the difference between U8 and FIS, and it coaches for the level standing in front of you, from the youngest groups through FIS, Masters included.

What it will not do

It needs a signal to answer, so a dead zone at the bottom of the hill is a dead zone. It captures the coaching that can be put into words, not the eye and the feel that only come from years on snow. And it gives you the answer. You still coach the athlete. That part stays yours.

Built for the coach who did not come up through a pipeline

The coach who came back to the sport as an adult. The parent who got pulled in and wants to be good at it, not just present. The new coach handed a group and left to figure it out alone.

If that is you, this was built for you.

FAQ

Questions coaches ask

Is this just a ChatGPT wrapper?
No. ChatGPT answers from whatever is floating around the open internet. Coach Hans is built on real alpine race-coaching knowledge, with guardrails and checks around the answers and real coaches reviewing and rating them, so the weak ones get caught and fixed before they reach you. The grounding in the sport, and the work that goes into keeping the quality high, is the whole difference.
What ages and levels does it cover?
From the U8 group through FIS, Masters included. The answers are leveled, so the fix it gives for a U8 is not the fix it gives a FIS racer.
I came to this through my own kid, not through racing. Will it still help me?
That is exactly who it is built for. Tell it what you are seeing and it gives you the likely cause, a cue you can say to the athlete, a drill that targets it, and a plan that builds on last session, all in plain language.
When can I get it, and what will it cost?
It is in private beta for the 2026-27 season. Pioneer coaches get in free for the season and lock in the best pricing we ever offer. We are still settling the price.
